Stephen Colbert compared Stephen Miller a to naked mole-rat queen last night so there aren’t any better jokes other than Trump going in France because he couldn’t get a big-league parade in the US.
Apparently the migrant caravan disappeared from places like FoxNews, but the locked and loaded US Army will still be spending that $200 million to stop the caravan(s) and shooting rock-throwers.
In other military spectacles:
After failing to organize his own American military parade on November 10 for Veterans Day, President Donald Trump will attend France's November 11 commemorative events for Armistice Day, which, yes, will include a military parade.
PARIS — When he hosts world leaders for the centennial anniversary of the end of World War I next month, French President Emmanuel Macron will not be putting on the kind of military spectacle that so delighted President Trump on his last visit to Paris. No tanks or missiles in the streets this time, and — pointedly — no celebration of national triumph.
That may disappoint Trump, who was inspired to replicate the Bastille Day parade he saw in Paris in July 2017, a costly vision he was recently forced to abandon.
But Macron’s plans for Armistice Day have also drawn criticism in France, where some on the right resent his refusal to emphasize what they see as a national victory, albeit a Pyrrhic one.

And parades are like caravans, aren’t they...

- Luckily the stakes not as high this time around: Dem takeover of House was the crucial thing, and the wave was so high that barrier was cleared with plenty of room to spare. But in assessing that outcome, don't forget that it happened despite foul play of several kinds 4/
