You’ve probably seen this by now, but if you haven’t read it:
And, believe it or not, this is after the Affordable Care Act made the healthcare system in the United States better. Clearly, not better enough.
There’s hope, however. Having been through the fire of Obamacare, and seeing how much it’s helped thus far and how much more there is to do, Democrats are ready to take on more. Here’s Rep. Jim Yarmuth (D-KY), who is ranking member on the House Budget Committee: "If I'm chairman of the Budget Committee next year, we'll have hearings on Medicare for All."
He continued: "We can start talking about it ... to conduct a national discussion about the possibility of Medicare for All, and maybe other forms of universal healthcare, (their) impact on the budget and whether it's feasible or not." Just about every other advanced country in the world has found it feasible. It's entirely doable. It just requires the political will—and majorities—to do it.
