With all of the controversy going on in this country over Donald Trump’s border wall, including the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, it’s surprising to me that the below story hasn’t been more prominent, including on this site.

Apparently, the largest single group of migrants to ever enter the U.S. has done so...by tunneling underneath a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
The important thing here is the mere fact that people were able to successfully tunnel underneath a border wall to enter the U.S. If they can do it now who says it can’t be done any time time in the future, even if a concrete border wall is ever built along the entire U.S.-Mexico border as Trump wants to do?
What further proof is needed that the entire proposition of a wall would be a complete waste of time, energy, effort and resources, including money?
The incident happened Monday near San Luis, Arizona. While most of those who crossed the border seeking asylum did so in a tunnel under the steel fence, some simply went over top of it. Just like people would most likely do if ever a border wall were built across the entire border, no matter what it was made of.
A total of 376 people successfully crossed the fence/wall to enter the U.S. , including 179 minors, 30 of whom were unaccompanied by adults.
Odd, isn’t it, how we haven’t heard much about this from FOX News and other right-wing media outlets, or even from the Republican-owned mainstream news media (which, after all, constitutes most of our national news media)?
It seems to me that with the entire country suffering from a government shutdown due to the insistence of one person on wasting money on a border wall that this might be a relevant piece of news for news media to report.
This incident is proof positive that a border wall is futile at best. And yet, what are we hearing about it? Not much.
