The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee—J.U.D.I.C.I.A.R.Y. Committee—is planning to "rally his Republican colleagues" in the Senate to sign a letter in solidarity with Donald Trump, declaring that the phone call now at the center of the impeachment inquiry, between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, is not an impeachable offense.
News flash to Lindsey: Senate letters are not legally binding documents. Furthermore, the Senate has no power over the speaker of the House of Representatives in setting her agenda. He does know this, but nonetheless will persist. "They are about to destroy the nation for no good reason," he said. "I've read the transcript. I do not see anything wrong there and I want Nancy Pelosi to know that Republican senators are not going to impeach this president based on this transcript, so she can stop now before she destroys this country."
Good to know that the guy in charge of installing federal judges is absolutely fine with the president asking foreign governments to fix U.S. elections, just for confirmation of the fact that he considers his official duties a sham. At this point, though, Trump is racking up countless impeachable offenses like they're going out of style. Lindsey Graham of 2019 doesn't have a problem with that.
Lindsey Graham of 1998 might like to have a word with him, however.
Please give $1 to our nominee fund to help Democrats and end McConnell's career as majority leader, and to boot Graham from his chairmanship.
