Some conspiracies are so … unusual that the idea of anyone saying them out loud is so ridiculous you are shocked it could happen. Take this tweet from a White House reporter:
That’s right. In this conspiracy, Hillary Clinton lost an election ON PURPOSE in order to trick Donald Trump into becoming president, so that the Democratic caucus could have a moment years later, in which the president would be so uninformed that he would commit acts that violate the responsibilities of his office and go through an impeachment hearing.
Wow. This is the kind of conspiracy that would take someone with a whole lot of foresight. Knowing that Hillary Clinton is not Dr. Manhattan, the question is: how would the former Democratic nominee respond?
About as you would expect: what the heck kind of lunacy is this? This is a Senior White House reporter pointing out that sources within the administration are rolling out conspiracy theories so outrageous that it makes you question how many flat-earth believers may have found careers inside the Trump administration.
I imagine a lot of Democratic voters around the country feel a bit like Hillary today — eyerolls all the way around.
