On Thursday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference where she explained that the House of Representatives would begin drafting the articles of impeachment in the case of Donald J. Trump. For his part, President Trump screamed something onto Twitter with his stubby, greasy, corrupt little fingers, and then went back to watching whatever it is Fox News calls programming these days.
In the fog of information out there one thing is clear: nobody likes corruption. No one supports a clear abuse of power … except of course Republican officials and people still blathering about Hillary Clinton’s emails. But the hashtag #AmericansForImpeachment began trending and really took off, because people support the Democratic Party’s attempts to visit law and order and justice upon Donald J. Trump for his crimes.
And you have to have the requisite Mandalorian meme at some point.
And the facts.
And a reminder, Speaker Pelosi is dead serious about this and will not be sidetracked by Sinclair Broadcasting misinformation hackery.
The stakes are as high as they have ever been.
And there’s a need to push out the majority voices in our country since there seems to be a strange way the traditional news outlets are handling what is a legal question, not a political gamesmanship one.
This is an important distinction, because a meme like this one only exists because the GOP has turned this process into a political issue over an issue of corruption.
And a reminder of the kind of cowardice leading our country, just because I’m spiteful.
