George Conway, the husband of top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, continues to very publicly slam Donald Trump on Twitter, suggesting he’s a pathological liar and has a “condition” that’s “getting worse”—and Trump campaign adviser Brad Parscale is apparently getting sick of it.
Parscale trashed Conway on Twitter Monday evening, writing that “We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him.”
Ah, yes, the old “didn’t get the job he wanted/Trump doesn’t know him” line. Now, where have we heard that before?
Even Fox News couldn't get more information on that reference to a job at the Justice Department, though Conway did publicly withdraw from consideration for a top Justice Department job early in the Trump administration. Instead, he has remained in private practice, earning large sums of money while enacting a sort of toxic James Carville-Mary Matalin scenario on Twitter with his frequent—often substantive and legally accurate—criticisms of Trump. George’s stance toward Trump is particularly interesting in light of a former White House aide’s claim that Kellyanne is a major source of leaks about Trump.
