Is true — Tucker Carlson found some catnip on Thursday in the form of a recent study which speculated if toxic masculinity could be the reason for climate change.
Now, Tucker is no girly-man like his competitor in the time slot on MSNBC, Chris Hayes, so there was zero chance this was getting past him without attempting a vicious clothesline. It is WrestleMania week, after all!
Frequent guest and conservative author Mark Steyn was on the show to discuss this latest attack on manly, totally secure and confident dudes like themselves.
I hate to subject you to his voice, comrades. You can skip to 2:00 for the relevant quote, but you’ll miss a hilarious scare video his producers put together:
Tucker asked the important questions:
But, I mean… how did we wind up with a country where feminists do science? Isn’t that… you’re sort of bound to get a study like this, right?
How indeed? Let’s see what Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) had to say on Twitter in answer to that question:
Sometimes the best answers are the simplest, my friends.
Toward the end of the interview, Steyn added this hilarious self-own of what underlies half the content on Tucker’s show (emphasis added):
“A couple weeks ago on this show, Tucker, you had a report that they were introducing vegetarian days in the New York city schools because red meat has toxically masculine overtones. And basically, if you look at half the stories you cover every night, toxic masculinity is sort of the underlying subtext of it.
Like most of Tucker’s show, it’s not exactly a subtle subtext.
