We all know the damage Trump has done to our country. And how he continues to erode our democracy. Just the latest news of Bill Barr investigating the conduct of our intelligence agencies, in opening the Russia investigation, is the perfect example of eroding our faith in the agencies that protect our freedoms.
But Trump has a worldwide impact that is destroying the freedoms of many nations.
If we assume, Trump is under Putin’s thumb, a foreign agent, as we will shortly see in his financial disclosures,… then everything we see on a daily basis becomes a much clearer picture.
His war against the media, a Putin favorite, has just upped the ante with indictments against Assange, that directly challenges the First Amendment.
Trump’s dismantling of the State Department has severely diminished our influence in European nations. And in the next few days the EU will have elections, in which Putin backed Parties in many of the nations involved, will pick up a massive number of seats at the European Union. Putin’s goal of weakening European alliances from within, is just the same as he is doing here in the states.
It’s not only Trump under Putin’s strings. Mitch McConnell just received a 200 million gift for his beloved Kentucky from a Russian oligarch, for not getting sanctioned because Turtle block it. And wouldn’t you know the Russian lobbyist who put this together, saw his wife get a lifetime Judgeship in New Orleans. The corruption is so far and wide, it’s hard to fathom. Putin in a couple of days, will have a strong hand in a lot pots around the world. And the one deterrent that has always stood up to Russia’s influence worldwide,… is now led by a Putin Puppet. The damage done by Trump’s presidency will be felt for a long time.
This will be my last political article for a while. I need to step away from the current events unfolding. They are too depressing. Watching our country being undermined by outside influences, in using corrupt and compromised agents at the highest levels of our government, is just too much for me to take.
