"My view is, whether it would pass the Senate or not ... this is a moment in history and every single person in Congress should be called on to vote and then to live with that vote for the rest of their lives.”
Elizabeth Warren responding to moderator, April Ryan, at a NAACP forum in Detroit yesterday. From an article in The Hill yesterday, Warren said it as plain as day, that it’s time to take off the gloves.
“We have to make clear no one is above the law, not even the president of the United States,” Warren said. “It’s time to bring impeachment charges against him.”
No one on this site disagrees with the fact, we are in a struggle for our lives. And not just our lives, but the lives of children in cages, women walking into a Planned Parenthood and 10 million Afghans apparently. What we are not agreeing on is the method or path. That’s fine with me. It’s healthy to discuss such things. But what isn’t healthy is a lack of leadership. Pelosi is a strong woman and Speaker of the House. But I think we need a Speaker Of Americas Soul. And I hope that Warren steps into that role. Someone has to. I don’t think her poll numbers will suffer if she becomes the voice of the growing wave of dissatisfaction against the Pretentious Pontious Poopbag in the WH. If she wants to be president, she has to be a leader. And now is the time to show America that she has what it takes to pull our trajectory out of this tail spin.

Wow. This certainly has generated a lot of discussion about… Pelosi. My intent was to talk about Warren’s role as a leader towards the drive for impeachment. In no way was I intending to write a hit piece on the Speaker of the House. Granted, I could have kept her name out of the headline. I was only trying to sum up the comments given during the speech, as the article did.
Now it is time to go home and hang up my keyboard. Just know that I am rooting for all of our people in this Marx Brothers meets Shakespearean tragedy.
