So, if you watched any of Trump’s town hall, some of you may have noticed that there was a woman, out of focus, behind and to his left, who was nodding and giving a thumbs up to every single thing Trump said, no matter how crazy or untrue. So much so that it seemed just a little too obvious.
Well, now we know why.
The woman who frequently nodded behind President Donald Trump during his town hall in Florida on Thursday night is actually a long-time supporter who ran as a Trump-loving congressional candidate in 2018.
Joli met with the president after his town hall appearance and once again told him how much she supported him. “We have your back!” she told Trump. “You see, you see you are the best.”
She has consistently vocalized her support for Trump, saying in a 2017 interview with the Herald that he inspired her campaign.
"I am not looking to run [for Congress] because I need a paycheck, like Donald Trump. I'm not looking to run because I need fame, like Donald Trump. I’m running because I need this country to succeed,” Joli said. “Like Donald Trump, I don’t drink.”
She has also given herself the title of — wait for it — “Miami’s Master of Selfies”.
So...a Trump-supporting 2018 congressional candidate and frequent attendee at Trump’s rallies, conveniently finds herself seated directly within camera-frame of Trump, during the town hall — theatrically nodding and giving a thumbs up to every word he says. Got it.
I’m totally sure her being seated there was just a coincidence.
Oh — and here she is with a Proud Boy, who’s literally giving the white supremacist signifier as she stands there:
