Michael Bloomberg is expanding his elections spending in support of Joe Biden into two new states—potentially expanding the map, or simply reflecting a map that has already expanded. Bloomberg will spend $15 million in Texas and Ohio in a last-minute ad campaign through his super PAC, Independence USA.

Bloomberg reportedly commissioned polls to find additional states to target beyond his $100 million commitment in Florida, and found that Texas and Ohio were prime prospects.
“We believe that Florida will go down to the wire, and we were looking for additional opportunities to expand the map,” Bloomberg adviser Howard Wolfson told The New York Times. “Texas and Ohio present the best opportunities to do that, in our view.”
Ads will focus on the coronavirus pandemic, with the Texas campaign including Spanish-language ads.
If Donald Trump loses Texas or Ohio, he has no path to victory and Biden is on the way to a landslide.
