.
The high level personal protection for medical personnel working with Covid-19 patients includes wearing N-95 masks, gloves, transparent face shields and PPE clothing.

I think comparing my common sense compared to Trump’s is akin to comparing a rock to a fart. My common sense has substance and Trump’s is odiferous gas.
.
I have upped my own personal protection for when I walk my dogs and I think that not only do I protect others from me but in all likelihood I am protecting myself from them.
.
I wear at least a double layer mask, and sometimes a commercial mask with three layers, and have decided that wearing a pair of old swim googles not only protects my eyes but keeps the top of the mask pressed against the bridge of my nose and face. When I get home I also wash my hands.
.
If the availability of swim googles on Amazon is any indication they are still readily available. I ordered two new ones. They range in price from $9 to $20.
Wearing a hat like the one in the photo protects my head but also my face from sun exposure since I’ve already has two squamous cell cancers there.
.
Some may say I am risk averse when it comes to health but I’d prefer to think that I am being prudent. I do not want to get Covid-19. I am ordering groceries delivered and making sure that I only interact with other who are wearing masks, I don’t go into the buildings in the senior community where I live, and outside I am a minimum of six feet from anyone.
.
I have digital thermometer and my fingertip oximeter is coming in a few days.
.
I plan to do everything possible not to get this virus and in the process of course will make sure I don't give it to anybody.
.
I know I am very fortunate that I am retired and not hurting for money and really feel for people who are out of work and dependent on the compassion of a malignant narcissist and his minions to keep them from going hungry now, not having a job when the crisis is over, and come winter, freezing.

Why you’re unlikely to get the coronavirus from runners or cyclists
Understanding the key concepts of transmissibility and infectious dose should reassure you.
Psychologically, different people have different levels of tolerance for risk. For some people, any risk that can be minimized, should be, no matter how small. For others, the recommended 6-foot distance, with masks, and the known decay of both the amount and the infectiousness of the virus — that’s good enough.
but my low tolerance for risk is only about health.
Asked if she could offer a way to assess the risk of various activities in terms we can easily wrap our minds around, Kasten said to consider the difference in the risk between taking a stroll through the park on an even path versus climbing up a steep cliff face.
“Sure, you could slip, fall, strike your head, and die on that path in the park. Likewise, you could free-solo successfully to the top of El Capitan. But most of us would accept the risk of the stroll and not accept [the risk of] dangling from the cliff,” she said. “Breathing in someone’s sneeze cloud, close by, without a mask — that’s the cliff face. Jogging several feet away, or getting the mail — that’s the park.”
In fact I would be more likely to walk along the edge of a cliff or if I knew how to do it, to free-solo off El Capitan. I accept the risk of investing in Alibaba because I and my advisor and his team have analyzed it carefully. Not to be too macho, as far as physical risk for example I boogy-board surfed in a thick wet suit, hooded head covering and swim fins with people half my age in pounding waves breaking against boulders when all public beaches were closed (with state police guarding entrances to parking lots) because of oncoming Atlantic hurricanes.
.
The difference between the risk of the virus and the risks associated with, for example, breaking the rules and finding a way to get to the ocean in order to surf the waves as a hurricane approaches is that you can take steps to protect yourself. You are not at the mercy of the waves because of the skill you have and the protective garb you wear.
