OMG, this was brilliant!
If you can’t see it, a reporter (I don’t know which outlet) asked,
“A lot of Americans are saying that, you know, the surges are happening under President Biden's watch, after he reversed some previous policies. Does the administration take any accountability for what's happening?”
Jen Psaki asked, “Who are the Americans?”
The reporter stuttered at being challenged, and then admitted it was Donald Trump.
Psaki let her have it. “We don't take our advice or counsel from former President Trump on immigration policy which was not only inhumane, but ineffective over the last four years. We're going to chart our own path forward, and that includes treating children with humanity and respect and ensuring they're safe when they cross our borders.”
Trump’s policy of ripping children away from their parents, putting them in cages, and losing them is one of the darkest chapters in American history. The children suffered unspeakable horror, and the policy was instituted by white supremacist Stephen Miller. This policy alone is why I can never respect anyone who tells me they voted for Trump, no matter their excuse.
Psaki destroyed this reporter’s biased question, but at the same time, wasn’t nasty or personal about it. Biden really is picking the cream of the crop, which is a refreshing change from Trump’s people whom he always had to scrape from the bottom of the barrel because no one of any quality wanted to work for him.
Trump must have felt that burn all the way in Florida. Although I guess this is going to make things very awkward around the White House, now that Trump was inaugurated Thursday.

Using the term "a lot of people say" is exactly the framing that right-wing outlets use when spewing propaganda. Fox News pioneered this deceptive technique, and Donald Trump uses it all the time when he is really giving his personal opinion.
On my original title, I used "conservative reporter” because I was certain such a deceptively-loaded question promoting a racist talking point must have came from a right-wing amateur. Imagine my surprise to learn it was Weijia Jiang from CBS news.
I don’t know her political affiliation, but I do know she was the one who was repeatedly insulted by Trump on multiple occasions, where he told her to “sit down”, “be quiet”, and “keep her voice down”. She complained that a White House official called COVID the “Kung Flu” to her face, and complained to Trump directly on being singled out to ask one of her COVID questions to China.
Considering the epidemic of racist attacks on Asian-Americans, as well as the racial insults she endured from the former president, I’m extremely shocked and disappointed that she deceptively tried to promote Trump’s xenophobic position on immigration. So much for that “liberal” media you keep hearing about. The good news is that Jen Psaki is more than up to the task to knock down stupidity, no matter who it’s from.

One more example of a reporter trying to give Trump credit for Biden’s success in getting COVID under control. Reporter asked if Trump shouldn’t get credit for Biden following “99%” of Trump’s “plan”… Jen simply asked “Which ones?” Reporter couldn’t name one, just quoted a rightwing stooge. Jen let HER have it too. Biden inherited a disaster, no plan, no stockpile, no nothing—and he had to build a response from scratch.
