Sorry you passed away, Mr. Hawking otherwise you would know I don’t care about your theories about physics, cosmology, or the feeling of being weightless. You had a speech issue. Sorry any citizen with a hearing loss but still have verbal skills. I don’t have time to try to figure out what you are saying. Sorry, stutterers — I’m busy checking my phone so I have to finish your sentences and move you along. Sorry all the folks with cerebral palsy, please don’t ask me to be patient with you when you are telling me your concerns or even a joke. Sorry, Judge Luttig, you are boring me because you don’t speak as fast as I do even though I’ve never been a Judge on an Appellate Court.
Today’s first coverage of the J6 hearing was the worst Liveblog I’ve ever read and then had to leave. Brandi Buchman and Jessica Sutherland didn’t deserve the derailments. DKos at its most intolerant because some people wanted to fast forward what Judge Luttig, who is alleged to have a serious stammer, had to say. Even if he didn’t have a serious stammer and that was his speech rhythm, should he be ignored because people have only twitter attention? I’d hate for any of those people to be on a panel listening to the speech impaired imploring for their basic human rights. I’d hate to know one of your family members has had a stroke and becomes isolated because no one has patience.
Yes, we have been listening to hearings about the near destruction of our democracy. Isn’t that more reason to be patient and kind about listening to what someone who was trying to save our democracy has to say? The committee and at least WaPo livestream have continued the coverage over the time limit.
Why I love Bennie Thompson — he wanted Judge Luttig to have the last word because Congressman Thompson is a good and kind man.
Not meant to be pie — I won’t get into pie. Go ahead and defend yourselves but I wonder whatever other disabilities annoy you.
