If you haven’t heard, gotten some kind of notification on your devices, or were stuck inside of a Mar-a-Lago safe for the past couple of hours, the Federal Bureau of Investigation—also known as the FBI—served a search warrant at disgraced twice impeached president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago in Florida on Monday. It’s what the kids call breaking news.
Donald Trump went to his failed social media platform Truth Social to post a clearly long-ago written screed blaming the deep state, whining that the agents “even broke my safe!” Thoughts and prayers and such. Social media reactions have been predictably giddy, as well as speculative, since it is very hard to pinpoint which of the almost infinite number of possible crimes the FBI was specifically pursuing Monday.

And this one because it’s perfectly poetic.
UPDATE: Turns out, according to Trump’s daughter-in-law, the FBI was likely serving a warrant to get old clipping of USA Today.
