Trump announced tonight that he will violate Article 5, and leave NATO allies to be invaded by Putin and Russia.
Trump:
One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, Well, sir, if we don't pay and were attacked by Russia, will you protect us? I said.. No I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.
From the @MeidasTouch Network:
Donald Trump gave a bizarre, rambling, gaffe-filled speech to a gathering of NRA members in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Friday evening that was troubling, even by Trump standards.
Trump's rambling, non-sequitur laden speech lasted just under an hour before an often dead-silent crowd, in which he couldn't remember what day of the week it was, bragged about doing nothing on gun violence, took credit for killing the border security bill, lied almost continuously about Biden's record vs. his own, gave a "100% guarantee" that a terrorist attack was coming in the United States, and promised to repeal every gun safety law.
Here is a partial list of bizarre statements and lies from Trump's speech in Harrisburg:
- Trump falsely claimed no one died in Afghanistan under his watch.
- Trump falsely claimed he won Pennsylvania twice
- He falsely claimed Biden would take away guns and the right to self-defense
- He falsely claimed there were no terrorist attacks during his presidency
- He called the Resolute Desk the "Trump desk", and claimed Biden kept the desk because wanted to sit in the Trump desk
- He falsely claimed Mexico took 32% of the car industry
- He falsely claimed electric cars don't work in cold weather
- He falsely claimed Catholics are being persecuted in the United States
- He falsely claimed Democrats cheated in the 2020 election
- He said "they" would change the name of the State of Pennsylvania, without specifying who "they" was
- He falsely claimed he got Mexico to send 28,000 troops to the border Trump's speech came only a day after the media hit Biden over comments in Special Counsel Robert Hur's report on his investigation into Biden storing classified documents in his home, in which he claimed Biden had memory issues. Republicans and right-wing media used the language in the report to pounce on Biden's age and dominate the news cycle with talk of Biden being too old to run for re-election.
Meanwhile the media continues to give Trump, who is just three years younger than Biden, a pass for repeated incomprehensible and often frightening gaffes.
