Musings about the classified documents that were confiscated from Mar-A-Lago by the FBI.
The musing is to drill down to the details of the ‘boxes’ situation, without getting too wordy. And I make no claim that I understand the details.
Here goes:
1. Why was top secret information transferred to a printed document?
2. How did Dump know that a top secret document about (any particular topic x) existed, and how did he know which person in the administration had that document?
3. How did that document get delivered to Dump?
4. How did a potential buyer of that information know that Dump had it?
5. How did Dump know the location of the document that the buyer wanted?
6. How did Dump deliver the document to the buyer?
=================================
1. Why was top secret information transferred to a printed document?
Why was it not solely retained on a ‘computerized’ file?
Consider CIA analysts at their cubicles, documenting clandestine data. They certainly would upload it to a ‘digital’ file for future reference. Why would they print it?
I can only think of two reasons – either to provide copies to some personnel who were meeting to discuss that data, or else at the request of some Senior position-holder. And after a meeting of ‘cleared’ personnel, I surmise that no copies would leave the meeting room. ‘Cleared’ personnel know the penalties for passing that stuff around.
2. How did Dump know that a top secret document about (any particular topic x) existed, and how did he know which person in the administration had that document?
My only idea is that someone (who had access to that stuff) was keeping track of that type of data, and storing it for Dump. He surely had no clue about what was going on.
3. How did a top secret document get delivered to Dump?
I have no idea. Certainly not in an inter-office big yellow envelope. And it seems the Secret Service would intercept any packets or envelopes routed to Dump, to check for poisonous powdered stuff, for example. And certainly no higher-up Alphabet Agency employee would allow Dump into their strategy meetings, so he could grab his own copy from that meeting.
4. How did a potential buyer of that information know that Dump had it?
I have no idea, again. Dump certainly had no clue.
5 . How did Dump know the location of the document that the buyer wanted?
Surely he did not file them himself, he’s way too lazy. And he would not understand the details of most of the topics anyway, so could not identify any particular document when asked.
6. How did Dump deliver the document to the buyer?
Again I have no idea.
Dump did not insert it into a plain envelope and address it to Boris/Natasha, c/o Russian Embassy.
====================================
After all the above words, the only conclusion I can make is that lackeys were involved in the process to handle the documents along their route to Dump’s boxes. Perhaps prosecutor Jack Smith will unveil their identities at the trial.
I can also ‘imagine’ an alternate scenario, where Dump, not knowing which classified topics existed, gave blanket instructions to minions who had access to the documents: just grab documents and stuff them in boxes.
=====================================
All the above still leaves a lot of details for wondering. Sure seems to me like there were ‘co-conspirators in this ‘boxes’ stuff.
And it is possible that this all has been discussed here at DKOS and I did not understand it.
