Most of the polls across the country are now closed, with the exception of a few far west states and results are starting to come in for some of the state races. The new mayor of Mexico City will be Marcelo Ebrard (PRD), and PAN has won governerships in Jalisco, Guanajuato and Morelos.
The day has had a few problems, there are reports that two political workers were killed in Guerrero, some problems with a shortage of ballots in a few polling places, and a few that didn't open. In addition heavy rains in areas around Mexico City caused some problems and lowered participation.
We should be getting some exit polls on the presidential vote pretty soon, I'll post as soon as I hear anything.
