If you have read the book by the VT reporters about Dean this may seem oddly familar to you.. but...
I saw most of Deans speech in NH yesterday.
Good speech, GREAT Q&A session afterward. Very very town hall like..
It occured to me.. this is EXACTLY how he won his last term in VT.
It was right after the Civil unions bill.. when he had two people running against him.. one a Progressive/Green going to Deans left, and one Ruth Dyer.. the Republican.
Deans numbers were down.. kinda way down..
So what did Dean do, he did lots and lots of "town hall" events, in the MOST Anti-Dean places he could find in VT. Did a speech, and took all thier questions, and gave them straight forward answers.
And it worked.
The margin was narrow. But it worked.
SO the 10 million dollar question, can Dean do this again?
Can he do enough "town hall" style discussions around various parts of NH that hes weakest in and pull enough people back in?
Stay tuned, its not over yet.
