I never considered abortion as a policy option. I support choice, in the early stages, as the last option as woman, as a human being, has to control her own body and the course of her own life. I see it as a sad necessity for women who are challenged to care for the children they already have or to build stable families.
Do you ever wonder how many million babies have been aborted because their mothers were overwhelmed by a societal climate of prejudice and hatred.
Bill Bennett: If you Mother had chosen abortion, do you think that the world would be a better place? Would there be less prejudice, less repression, not to mention less gambling, and one fewer "ugly American" (in the classic sense of that term)? It would have been sad and hard, but, if she had made the sacrifice, would there be one fewer educator who attacks instead of helping? Would there be less greed? Would there be one fewer leader to teach the world to judge and hate instead of promoting tolerance and understanding? Would there have been one fewer author to undermine progress and to promote hatred?
This twisted thought that you put into the world: Would you call it ethnic cleansing. I know that you did not advocate it. You just put it out there as a one of the possibilities.
Because you have brought morally reprehensible ideas into the world, they echo and recur in people's minds and it causes me to wonder about these things.
If Hitler's mother had chosen abortion, would that have been a good thing?
No. I'd really rather not think about this any more. I'm trying to find my moral center again and I hope that you will not bring any more such ugly ideas into the world. PLEASE, PLEASE do not tell us what you think about the potential of infanticide.
You reveal the true heart of the modern conservative Republican, a picture of Republican morality, and I hope I never have to see it again.
I feel so dirty.
Can someone please offer some uplifting thought that will cleanse my mental palate?
