I didn't see this posted yet...
CNN and MSNBC are reporting that a tanker of fuel crashed into some buses waiting at a police checkpoint setting them all ablaze and killing 70+ people with 100s injured.
My initial reaction was terrorism, but neither of the articles even suggests or debunks this thought. The MSNBC article claims that Iranians are simply accident prone due to unreliable vehicles and poor roads.
A few things instantly made me think terrorism. First, the oil tanker. Perfect mobile bomb. Second, the police checkpoint. Iraq's police stations were targeted this morning with no consideration placed on innocent lives.
I realize that I am jumping to conclusions, but with Al Qaeda's seeming desire to destabilize the Middle East, I immediately suspect another attack anytime I hear news like this.
