The Washington Post's Tom Edsall writes, "This is the stage in the presidential nomination fight in which money flows to winners and steadily dries up for the rest of the field. For challengers, the less money they have, the more states they must skip -- and concede."
Yes, that's what convention wisdom says, and what a journalist would write if they forgot to actually visit any sites or call any candidates to see how much they are raising - for example, Howard Dean raised $700,000+ yesterday. Probably all of Bush's pioneers and all of Kerry's AIG pals put together could not send a single email to supporters and net that amount.
Remember the golden rule, journalists of the world: your work is researching the facts, not pontificating.
