A new organization has shown up in Illinois called "Consumers Organized for Reliable Electricity" except it's asking for people to call the government and ask for deregulation and price hikes. Their reason is that we will have an energy crunch just like California. It's a business lobby.

A ComEd-funded coalition of business, labor and civic groups on Tuesday announced a campaign to support the deregulation of the electric industry by 2007 as previously scheduled.
The organization is called Consumers Organized for Reliable Electricity (CORE), but is on the side of the state's largest utilities in what it says could be a fight over the future of the Illinois electric industry in the fall legislative session.

Here we are in the middle of a war and an energy crisis and the monopoly in Illinois believes that they should be making more money.
