I remember how Iraq was condmened in the aftermath of the Gulf War I for torching their oil fields and unleashing an epic ecological disaster on the Persian Gulf. Now it seems Israel is unnecessarily responsible for a similar disaster in the Eastern Med. They bombed, knowingly, oil storage facilities in the North of Lebanon (far from the Hezbollah enemy they presumably were targetting). Well, aside from causing great hardship to the civilians trying to flee and the Govt of Lebanon, democratically elected government, trying to maintain a semblence of control over vital infrastructure, it seems Israel succeeding in inciting one of the largest ecological disasters in the region.
Listen and learn.
