Looks like
this will be hitting tomorrow in USA Today:
Democratic presidential contender Howard Dean, a strong critic of what he calls President Bush's unilateral approach to foreign policy, urged President Clinton to act unilaterally and enter the war in Bosnia in 1995.
The article goes on to say that his support is consistent with his position. I haven't really seen this angle before on the Bosnia War. Is this something new, or did it come up earlier in his campaign when I wasn't really paying attention?
Could this turn into another press storm? It sounds like Dean has a pretty good argument--particularly his contention that the problem with the Iraq invasion is that it was sold on the basis of Hussein being an imminent threat, which it is clear he was not.
What do you guys think? Is this old news? If not, will this get a head of steam going? It doesn't sound like a big deal to me, but the press has run with a lot less, particularly in the last few weeks.
