So on the news that we are spending $200 million a day in Iraq I decided what we need right now are some real time numbers of how much money we are spending starting a civil war in Iraq and other moving targets. In that vein I did some Flash coding over the weekend so that people could get an idea of what is happening every second that goes by...
I have my first couple ideas posted up here:
http://www.bushcounter.com
As you can see I have the amount of time (to the second) that's gone by since Bush announced Bin Laden would be caught "dead or alive" and I have the amount of money we have spent on the Iraq war, more or less to the dollar. As time goes by I have a whole lot of other ideas to post: how many schools could have been built with what we spent in Iraq. How much money Haliburton is making. The amount of money that millionaires are not contributing thanks to Bush's tax laws. There's all kinds of moving targets out there, and I think this could be a fascinating vein to mine. I would love some input from everybody here as to any other ideas we have. If you are a blogger I cna provide with you with code to post it on your site and if any of you are flash coders I'm perfectly happy to share the source code with you. Just email me care of the site.
Thanks for paying attention!
