McCain already says WMD failure not Bush's fault

2 hours since Bush announced the members of the Iraq WMD commission, and I'm already 95% certain we can't trust a word it says.  Why?  Because at least 1 member of the commission has already given his opinion of the final conclusion.

U.S. Senator John McCain, who will sit on a commission investigating failures in the intelligence used to justify the Iraq (news - web sites) war, said on Friday he did not believe President Bush (news - web sites)'s administration had manipulated information.

"The president of the United States, I believe, did not manipulate any kind of information for political gain or otherwise," the Republican senator told reporters on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich, Germany.

So much for any hope of an actual independent inquiry.
