I am most decidedly heartened. My suspicion that neocons aren't the Enormous Wave as they are the Enormous Mouths is proving ever more true. Never would I have imagined so many mountain folks even knew KOS existed or would post to my pitiful little diary on its first fumbling steps out in the Big Yard.
I sincerely apologize: I should have known better, although frankly I still wouldn't have dreamed my diary would have brought on so much enthusiasm.
While too many out here in Central Foothill Land (North of Mt. Vernon; South of Crab Orchard) are mindless drones, I must have forgotten that back in the actual mountains of Eastern Kentucky where I'm from (Warbranch, Middlefork, Leslie County) it's more honorable to be an antagonistic GD Independent than anything else; although sadly, the Church of Damnation and Puerile Puritan Preachers have certainly made in-roads.
What can one say, other than the distrust of authority just has a way of becoming genetic after more than a century of the government's helping business rape your land and culture? God bless us all for not forgetting the battles and misery of our grandfathers and grandmothers.
George Bush's America? Two words: Company. Store. Envision that on a global scale.
Thank all of you for . . . being all of you. Each voice is another step toward a crescendo that can't be ignored, doubted, or hushed. Congratulations to all of us!
