Dear Condi,
I realize you are trying to solve the Middle East Crisis. Boy is it a doozy. So far, your efforts haven't exactly born fruit, much less a child.
I have a suggestion. Why don't you start somewhere easy. Like Haiti. Helping a country along is a skill that needs to be learned. America hasn't developed that yet. Boy can we level a country though.
Let's nourish Haiti back to health. It won't cost much. I think for what America spends on chrome wheels for jazzing up its cars (3 billion) we could probably get some trees growing again, some sort of sustainable growth.
What do you say?
It's small. It's doable.
We prove to the world we can support a failed state, and bring it back to life, maybe we can build the mechanisms to work our way up to larger countries. Like Detroit.
Just a thought. Most people don't start day one playing with the White Sox without proving themselves. So can you prove yourself?
Come on? It's Haiti for Christ's sake. There is no anti-Haiti lobby.
It's been a shithole for a century under our nose and no one has given a damn.
If you can handle that, then talk to the world about the Middle East. If you can't handle a small country, without the political/religious/economic implications the Middle East has, then please refrain from trying to help the Middle East. You aren't helping.
