Lou Dobbs is really starting to get it. There is a commentary right now on the front page of CNN Money. Here is the
link to the article.
Some choice grafs:
But in none of the attacks on my position on outsourcing has a single columnist or news organization seen fit to deal with the facts.
Number one: We're not creating jobs in the private sector, and that's never happened before in our history. Our economists and politicians need to be coming up with answers, not dogma.
Number two: We haven't had a trade surplus in this country in more than two decades, and our trade deficit continues to soar.
Number three: We've lost three million jobs in this country over the last three years, and millions more American jobs are at risk of being outsourced to cheap overseas labor markets.
Seems that Lou is becoming the Howard Dean of Economist - telling it like it is and being persecuted for it. He has been on this outsourcing crusade for awhile now. The bottom line is we are importing our finished goods and exporting our labor. This is untenable in the long run. Unfortunately, I can't get home in time to watch his show.
Well, with him and Howard Stern, Firefighters union, 911 victims: it shows the Democrats aren't the only ones angry at Dubya.
In other financial news - consumer confidence shrank to -18% and CEO confidence also is falling. Oh, and the market is imploding again. Good going Prancer.
