From Josh Marshall, this link reveals the recent story of Joe Allbaugh who, after stints with FEMA and Office of Homeland Security, signed on with Halliburton-KBR, registered along with his wife as lobbyists...but then insulted all of us by explaining how Halliburton has not asked him to do any lobbying.

Excluding the paper that presented the story, where is the media on this?
The only thing I have to add here is this: since the SCLM really likes to ask for "reactions" from people ("What is your reaction to this?") without really doing their homework and researching a story, cuz it is much cheaper and easier to just stick a camera in somebody's face than it is to read stuff, could they (and I mean TV media, really) get a few "reaction interviews" after listing 3 simple observational facts which I have prepared for them and take very little time to say:
- Halliburton "lost" $8 Billion of taxpayer money;
- Joe Allbaugh worked in the Bush administration;
- Joe Allbaugh just registered as a lobbyist for Halliburton.
Now, see how people "react" to that little 3 sentence presentation of "facts". People might have a few questions.
And while I am at it, and since the Administration has taken to spending our money to produce news, I would love to see them produce a story on how people go from being within the administration to be lobbyists - I would love to see how they might portray those "facts without advocacy".
We really should be entering into torch and pitchfork territory with these clowns. Corrupt is corrupt is corrupt.
