Facing fallout from the Abramoff scandals, allegations of his own fundraising improprieties and questionable stewardship of the nation's natural resources, sources have reported incumbent Congresssman Richard Pombo may soon decide to withdraw from the CA race, to assume the Columbian coffee spokesman job formerly held by
Juan Valdez.

The Congressman was unavailable for comment, however unnamed senior officials described Pombo as enthusiastic about the job change, citing the "natural" progression from supporter of Pacific sweatshop labor to personal advocate of low overseas wages and environmentally unfriendly agriculture.
