Book event was well attended. Even though we had a 5pm start time there were already several folks there 15 minutes before. Markos was already essentially talking to the crowd and answering questions. The only difference to the start of it was that he was standing versus sitting. While a few seats stayed empty there were even more folks standing at the back of the room. I'm guessing 50 total.
Oh yeah, Jay Fawcett (CD-5 candidate) came by.
I wasn't sure what the bar attendance would be like. There was a minimum our contract with Republic of Boulder had to meet. However, because there were literally no other customers that night, they decided to ignore that and were happy to have us. So, maybe 30-40 folks, which is about triple the recently started Drinking Liberally Boulder.
Also, allow me to pimp another diary just one or two below this one. Bill Winter (who should be in Denver tonight) has a great diary about his candidacy and what he stands for. This SHOULD be an easy race to win because Tom Tancredo is a freaking one-trick-pony lunatic.
Tonight:
Tattered Cover at 5pm (lodo at 16th st and Wnykoop)
Double Daughters at 7:30pm (1632 Market St)
