The phone number for GOP political operative and conservative pundit John (Jack) M. Burkman Jr. appears in the DC Madam's database of phone numbers according to Lori Price from Citizens for Legitimate Government.
Here is a link to his resume, where he lists himself as a Bush/Cheney surrogate speaker from February 04 to November 04.
BUSH-CHENEY 04, February 2004--November 2004.
Surrogate speaker for the surrogate speakers unit. Variety of national cable appearances.
Here is what Wikipedia has to say about this wonderful character:
Jack Burkman, founder and President of Burkman Associates, LLC, is a Washington, DC based political consultant and strategist. Burkman is a former Fox News conservative political analyst who routinely appears on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, CNBC, and others. He is a regular guest on MSNBC's primetime hit "Scarborough Country." Burkman was also a longtime guest on ABC's Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.
Several young women in the DC area, including two students that attended a Pride Rally[2], have accused Burkman of propositioning them. According to these sources, Burkman offered to "pay for (their) room and give (the two girls) a thousand dollars"[3] to have sex with him.[4] According to sources, Burkman has a reputation for soliciting young, "well-endowed" women by giving them his business card and requesting that they contact him. Several blog sites have listed instances of similar situations occurring around DC. One blog site shows a copy of his business card with the contact information blacked out.[5]
Burkman defends himself by saying that the false allegations were perpetuated by "left-wing people seeking to intimidate conservatives and independants." [6]
Why this man was given any face time as a person of credibility on msm outlets is beyond me. We can only hope this revelation will help end his career as a media pundit spouting Bush Administration spin.
A search of Media Matters lists Jack Burkman 9 times, including his repeating Ann Coulter's attack on 9/11 widows.
He also defended the Swift Boat Veterans and he misrepresented Howard Dean's questioning of terror alert timings.
Here is a list of Republican sex scandals and corruption of which Jack needs to be added on to.
