There's a corollary to Trapper John's highly enlightening thread calling on us to go public with what bugs us most about the candidates we favor most.
Every day, a half-dozen or more Kossacks will mention that they've claimed a seat aboard the Anybody But Bush bandwagon. Whoever gets the nomination will get their vote, they say.
I'm one of those. Hardcore. ABB all the way. It would take a major negative revelation for me to abandon the Democratic nominee - whoever that turns out to be. (Not that I would switch my vote to Bush under any circumstances.)
Note that when I claim membership in the ABB club, I do not say so lightly. I'm way out on the left edge - beyond it frequently - of the Democratic Party. Sometimes, the direction the Party takes infuriates me. Every potential nominee has at least one policy view that rolls my eyes so far back in my head I can do my own MRI.
But I've worked political campaigns since 1962, six years before I could vote. I've lived through Tricky Dick and Ronzo. Neither of them scared me as much as Dubyanocchio does.
So here's the question, the flipside of Trapper John's: Are you ABB? Or are you ABB (except Lieberman)? ABB (except Clark)? ABB (except [fill in the blank])?
