The end of cheap oil

If this has already been a diary entry, I apoligize.

Nathan Newman points us to this rather scary article on the looming energy crunch.

I believe it will become painfully obvious in the next 2 years the world is running out of oil. The sad thing is, this country could have prepared for this over the past 25 years, except that dirt bag reagan cancelled all of Jimmy Carter's alternative energy programs.

As the article points out, the $5/gallon the Europeans have been paying has actually prepared them better for the crunch than we here in America. The pols have been telling us cheap oil is a panacea when in actuality it is an albatross. This country simply isn't prepared for the disruptions that are coming down the pike.
