What are we left to do? If most of you watched the objection to the electoral vote yesterday, it became glaringly obvious what I believe is the real problem and challenge for all Americans right now.
It was nauseating to watch to arrogant behavior of the Republicans, and in turn the groveling and constant repeating of how the Dems weren't questioning Bush's legitimacy, and that they repected the other side, and that they wanted to work in consensus. Leaves one wondering just what the hell is going on down there.
If you listened to the speeches of the Senators that were addressing the election fraud, all said the same thing. The otherside has made us powerless. Which is totally true. Hastert's bright idea of "The majority of the majority" neuters the rights of states within this union to participate in their future, to be represented and to have a place in the process. They are the new Shiite's of America.
And if you watched the news yesterday evening, almost no mention of what happened during the historic event that has only happened twice since what, 1877? Maybe just the usual smear.
All American's need to know how their government is operating now. This should be part of our mission from now on, everyday, regardless of what stage of the election cycle we are in.
I live in Texas. My Senators are Kay Bailey Hutchison, and John Cornyn. Ms. Hutchison is considering a run for governor. How would people in this state feel if they knew Ms. Hutchison not only worked hard for the people of the state of Texas during her tenure, but also worked hard to subvert, even terminate the will of the people in other states whose elected officials happened to be of another party? Is this freedom?
The people in the blue states have done enough work contacting their Senators post election. It's time for people like me in red states to start yelliing at what's going on. Criticizing where criticism is due. Point the finger, demand freedom for all Americans. And how our legislators are taking the freedoms away from American's in other states.
