Has anyone noticed how remarkably similar Florida is to New York in terms of the electorate?
Believe it or not, New York is a huge State, one with massive rural Republican Strongholds, and most of the state is "red," including the county I live in, which is in commutable distance to New York City.
So, why is New York a solidly Blue State, and Florida a <fairly> Red One, at least since 2000? Granted, Florida doesn't have any giant metropolises like New York, but the added value of their cities should equal New York...no?
