Tom Flocco has an interview with Ms. Edmonds similar to an article that appeared in Salon today on the topic of the administration having fairly specific information on AQ threats leading up to the 9/11/01 attacks. He may have scooped Salon and I should have cited him, too.

Does anyone know Tom Flocco's background? I hadn't heard about him before. His interview provides a bit more information on the source, and a few more comments from Ms. Edmonds.
Different topic, but since we're only allowed 2 entries per day and I wanted people who are upset to see this (and yes, I thought about which topic to list at the top and national import won out over my personal shortcomings):
I've thought a lot more about my comparing Rice to the maid in Gone with the Wind (which you can see in a diary downstream if you really want to have your head explode).

If you were personally offended by my allusion, please accept my heartfelt and personal apology. I had not intended to offend you and I did not a priori perceive the potential offense.
To those who equate offense being taken (or potential offense being taken by others) as ipso facto requirement of apology, you'll just have to remain frustrated at me. Please feel free to further reign down your scorn on me, but consider "taking it off list" to spare others. I recognize that public statements should be refuted publicly, as was done in a fairly thorough manner previously, so continue to bang away at me here if you'd like. But, I always post with my real name and real email address (and if you can't get me there, try saaright@yahoo.com, which I check on the road), and this is one of the reasons I do so.
