Many feed their pets a raw diet in the hope of more closely matching the ideal diet for their pet's health. However, as shown in the story I crossposted below, this can be dangerous to both the health of the pet and the owner. Contact information for the producer is included at the bottom of the article.

Pet owners who choose to feed their pets raw foods may be trying to do everything possible to keep their pet healthy, but a recent pet food recall demonstrates how even natural food products can be recalled.

A recent cat food recall has just been expanded as the manufacturer has determined that more products may have been contaminated with Salmonella. Certain lots of Feline's Pride were recalled on July 1, 2010 and the recall has been amended to include an additional "produced on" date. Feline's Pride raw food with ground bone for cats and kittens, Natural Chicken Formula in 2.5 pound packages that were produced on 6/2/10 are now recalled. The earlier recall included products that were produced on 6/10/10.
There are two separate concerns associated with this recall. One of that consumers who handle contaminated pet food and do not wash their hands well afterward are at risk of developing symptoms of Salmonella. Symptoms in humans include vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea and fever.
The symptoms in cats and humans are briefly discussed in the article. If you have used this product and note these symptoms in yourself or your pet, seek immediate medical/veterinary attention. At the writing of the article, no reports of illness had surfaced. Salmonella can lead to potentially dangerous dehydration. It also can be carried as a silent infection that can be passed on to others.
My suggestion to those that have the product on hand is to contact the phone number in the article or return it to the store.
