As expected,
Sen. John Kerry won in Hawaii last night -- but Rep. Dennis Kucinich ran a surprisingly strong second (taking over 50% of the vote on Maui) and won at least seven delegates.
It was a very good night for Democrats overall, but the really bad news for George W. Bush was this:
The turnout last night in Hawaii was a record, and was three times the number that voted in 2000. Anti-Bush sentiment was very much in evidence, and Hawaii Democrats collectively are as motivated as I've ever seen them.
The Democrats' momentum is clearly building. Now, on to Super Tuesday.
