Here is CNN's graph of cash on hand for each candidate:

First of all, GWB's bar is made longer than it should be. According to the scale at the bottom he has around $38 million, but he only actually has $32.5 million. This makes the candidates look closer in available funds than they actually are.
Next, do you see the darker sections on the left? It's hard to tell, but these sections are actually out of proportion with the rest of the graph. It represents only $1 million, whereas other sections of the same length in the rest of the graph represent $20 million. I believe part of the reason for this was for viewers to be able to see Nader's bar at all; however, it also makes it look like GWB and JFK have closer amounts of funds.
