Here's what I saw just a short time ago (9:35 AM PT, to be exact) when I checked to see what the cable news channels were covering:
It wasn't exactly a shock to see that Fox would rather cover Rick Perry and the flat tax than the demise of Gadhafi. After all, even though Gadhafi was behind the Lockerbie terror attack, he was one of George W. Bush's partners in peace. Moreover, talking about his death certainly won't help Fox convince its viewers that President Obama is the biggest presidential wimp in American history.
But I forgot about the other Fox narrative, that President Obama is actually an anti-American double agent secretly trying to destroy our nation from within. And it turns out they've already figured out how to make the Gadhafi story compatible with that narrative. You see, according to Fox, Gadhafi's death could very well pave the way for a new round of terrorism flowing from the country—including, ominously, the possibility that Al Qaeda might just take over the nation:
