Foxnews wants to connect Acorn With Occupy Wall Street in ways that can quickly be dismissed with a modicum of research and interviews with "sources" that can be named.
Throughout the article unidentified "sources" are claiming that Acorn had a significant role in organizing and launching Occupy Wall Street. These unidentified "sources talk about activity conducted by former employees of Acorn who are now busy working at protest events for New York Communities for Change (NYCC) claiming that they pay people to attend the Occupy events. "Sources" also claim that former Acorn canvassers are collecting money door to door and pooling it for Occupy.
Foxnews is using this article in a brazen attempt to slur Occupy. You might find former Acorn employees working with Occupy. They were unemployed. Are all organizations that hire the unemployed from Acorn now Acorn driven?
This inane and transparent attempt to slur Occupy will only be accepted by the unknowing who want to continue to be unknowing. Those involved in the formation and launch of Occupy and those who collect and account for donations to occupy are more than willing to open all books and accept interviews with anyone making a request. AND, you can name them.
