As of this writing, police continue to block protesters from re-entering Zuccotti Park
despite a court order requiring them to do so. At the same time, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a member of the 0.0001 percent,
justifies his move to clear Zuccotti Park "we must never be afraid to insist on compliance with our laws."
9:23 AM PT: Brookfiled Properties now bizarrely claims that the park remains closed because of the injunction:
Brookfield had hoped to reopen the Park this morning after it had been cleaned. The City and Brookfield, however, were notified of a court-ordered injunction regarding the use of the Park. As a matter of public safety, the Park will remain closed pending the resolution of this matter.
The injunction, of course, requires that the park be re-opened. So naturally, Brookfield and and the police are keeping it closed because of the injunction.
9:28 AM PT: The hearing on the court order continues to be delayed. A judge has not even been assigned to the case.
9:36 AM PT: Justice Michael Stallman has been assigned to the case.
