More than two weeks ago, on Nov. 28, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin announced that they had over 300,000 recall signatures in hand. That alone was well over half of the 540,208 required to trigger a recall election.
The campaign to recall Scott Walker is asking that all petitions be turned in to United Wisconsin by Jan. 10, so they can be submitted to the Government Accountability Board by Jan. 17. The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has set a signature goal of 720,000, or 133 percent of the minimum requirement.

9:59 AM PT: Over 507,000 signatures have been gathered for the recall effort in the first month. The amount required is 540,208. The goal of the campaign is 720,000, and the deadline for submitting signatures is Jan. 17.
More than 25,000 Wisconsinites volunteered in person at one of the 42 recall offices across the state. Over 37,000 downloaded recall petitions online, and more than 27,000 donated to the effort.
