I come from a family of crafters -- at least the women (the men not so much). My grandmother was a quilter
So was my mother.
This quilt was made by my mother and my grandmother, Mom doing the quilt top, and Grammy doing the quilting. I received it as a wedding gift.
Mom was also a crocheter.
This was made for me when I was a child.
When my mother returned to quilting after she retired, she made this one for my husband and I.
My husband's grandmother crocheted, both afghans and finer work
Unfortunately, I have no pictures of her finer work.
My mother-in-law also crocheted, mostly afghans
After my mother passed away, I gave her quilting equipment and supplies to my sister-in-law, who also quilts. Among the cloth she found a nearly complete quilt top. She added a border to bring it to Queen-bed size and had it machine quilted by a friend from her quilting guild.
I now use it instead of a bedspread. And it is kitty approved.
