My nosy roommate is overly concerned with the apparent slow progress one of our neighbors in our building is making with a move. I don't know if she is moving out or just storing a lot of stuff. I don't even know what apartment this lady lives in, but she's older and is moving an incredible amount of stuff slowly but surely. My roommate, who is very concerned and yes, upset, even that this is happening, that she is parking a rental truck in the same space every day (not our covered space - doesn't affect us AT ALL) and that she is moving a LOT of stuff. He is angry with me because I simply asked why does he care so much and suggested if he is that worried about it, he should go introduce himself, offer to help or just go be nosy and ask her what she's doing. But I'm working here, and he keeps interrupting my day with his queries about what she's doing. And now he's irrationally angry with me, because I said I think he's being overly nosy (he has described to me every box in the first truckload, how high the stacks were, the color of the storage tubs, etc.) and that he should find something to do with his time. He's retired and watches TV all day an endless litany of cooking shows, tattoo parlor reality shows, home improvement shows, reality cop shows (the worst for me - all those sirens and bleep-bleeping dialog!) and the Military History channel.
Seriously, I wish he'd find a new hobby. I'm tired of the TV constantly on in the next room. I work here. Pretty much all day every day. Accounting stuff. AM ready to put roommate in a storage tub and slip it in among the neighbor's.
