Two problems with this false and defamatory meme that has rocketed around the rightwingnutosphere inciting many to believe that Michael Brown was in fact a

Troy, MO, which is 47 miles from Ferguson, MO, according to Google Maps. Also note that the defendant was born in 1997, which would make him 17, rather than 18. It's safe to say that these charges are being falsely attributed and the person spreading this is libeling Mike Brown.

2. The St Louis County Prosecutor has already stated that THE Michael Brown who was shot and killed by Officer Wilson of the Ferguson Police Department, had no arrest record whatsoever.

Let me reiterate that last point, because it was reiterated in the USA Today report dated August 14, 2014, which checked with the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's office about claims that the Michael Brown killed in Ferguson was a criminal/thug/bad guy.
St. Louis County Prosecutor's office confirmed that Brown had no prior misdemeanors or felonies against him.
As the St. Louis Prosecutor's office
has not exactly been a paragon of virtue when it comes to charges of institutional racism, I think we can safely assume that if they had anything in their records indicating Michael Brown had been charged with criminal offenses in the past, they would have said so.
Should you have the misfortune to run across a "friend" or "family member" of the conservative bent asserting this particular lie as fact, here is all the the proof you need to demonstrate their claim is utter and complete horsepucky.
